Domain Name Guide
A domain name is the foundation for your Internet addresses, both web (www.YourCompany.com) and e-mail (yourname@YourCompany.com). Register your domain to distinguish yourself and promote your business.
Your domain-based Internet addresses never change, even if you change your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Domain Name Tips
  • Choose a domain name that represents your business and the products and services you offer
  • Domain names can be up to 63 characters, but try to create the shortest domain name that is most recognizable to your audience
  • Incorporate a popular keyword into your domain name
  • The easier your domain name is to pronounce, the easier it will be to remember
  • Dashes work well if you want a variation on a domain name that is unavailable, ie. www.your-domain-name.com (they may also show up higher in search engines, but can be harder to say)
  • Purchase domains that are spelled similar to yours and redirect them to your main domain
  • Get the whole package for your domain extension: .com, .net, .info, .biz, etc...
